As far as we can tell, Susie Lee’s campaign strategy so far is:

Flip-flop on single-payer healthcare
Take thousands from toxic DC Democratic leadership
????
Win?

Yesterday, as Susie clinked glasses with Nancy Pelosi at a ritzy fundraiser on the Vegas strip, we were going through her third quarter FEC report. Susie received money from a who’s who of Democratic leaders, including: Nancy Pelosi, PAC to the Future (Pelosi’s leadership PAC), Steny Hoyer, Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (twice!), DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Lujan, and DCCC Recruitment Chairman Denny Heck.

This raises some important questions in an open Democratic primary. Was Susie promised financial support in exchange for entering the Democratic primary? Did she promise her support for Nancy Pelosi to remain as Democratic Leader in return?

All we know is tying herself so closely to Pelosi and the toxic Democratic leadership is one heck of a bold strategy. Let’s see if it works for her?
