O’Halleran named most vulnerable Democrat

November 6, 2017

One year out from Election Day, Tom O’Halleran is the most vulnerable incumbent Democrat in the country according to Roll Call. O’Halleran’s district voted for President Trump, and the publication notes 2018 will be the Congressman’s first real test after defeating a weak challenger last year.

O’Halleran has had a rough first year, after being exposed for taking thousands of dollars from the founders of Backpage.com, who are on trial for facilitating child sex trafficking.

Notably absent from the list is Congresswoman Martha McSally – whose stellar fundraising and recognition as one of the most effective Members of Congress has made her an electoral force in the neighboring Second District.

“One year out from Election Day, Tom O’Halleran and Arizona Democrats are on defense. Arizonans want effective leaders who will get things done, not a bloviating seat warmer like O’Halleran who has nothing to show for nearly a year in Congress.” -NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
