Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant

Stephanie Murphy needs her conscience to be clear. Olive Garden/delicious breadsticks are now standing in the way of that. Bet she didn’t see that coming.

Today, Olive Garden’s owner – Darden Restaurants – announced that they will spend $20 million on their employees as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

What’s even worse for Murphy? Olive Garden is headquartered in her district.

Apparently her conscience is why she once again followed in Nancy Pelosi’s footsteps by voting against major tax relief for her constituents last month.

She said: “I cannot in good conscience support legislation that compromises the long-term prosperity of our economy and safety of our nation, especially when millions of middle-class families and small businesses in Florida will see their tax bill increase or will receive no meaningful tax relief under this bill.”
