Brindisi caught calling constituents ‘idiots’

Ever wonder how your elected officials talk about you behind your back? Well, if you live in Anthony Brindisi’s Assembly district, be careful what you wish for.

FOIL requests pertaining to a downtown Utica hospital project prompted the release of internal e-mails from Brindisi that reveal his utter disdain for constituents.

In one exchange, Brindisi states “If we don’t have a communication strategy, the idiots will fill the vacuum left by our silence.”

This comes after Brindisi was caught telling a friend “I don’t want public opinion derailing this.”
