When Democrats shut down the government a few weeks ago, Tom Suozzi took heat for voting with Nancy Pelosi over doing the right thing for his district. But that didn’t stop him from doing it again last night.
Here’s the rundown…
- Suozzi’s previous shutdown vote held funding hostage for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which nearly 7,000 low-income children in NY-03 rely on for essential health care.
- This time it’s funding for community health clinics. Much like children who rely on CHIP, millions of low-income families with limited access to health care rely on these clinics for care.
Tom Suozzi has made it abundantly clear that his constituents take a back seat to Nancy Pelosi’s reckless shutdown tactics. We’ll make sure voters remember that in November.
