Keating’s shutdown hypocrisy

When Democrats shut down the government a few weeks ago, Bill Keating was called out for previously recognizing the need to avoid shutdowns.

Well, he voted to shut down the government again last night. Here’s the rundown…

• Keating’s previous shutdown vote held funding hostage for the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which 23,253 low-income children in MA-09 rely on for essential health care.
• This time it’s funding for community health clinics. Much like children who rely on CHIP, millions of low-income families with limited access to health care rely on these clinics for care.

Bill Keating has made it abundantly clear that his constituents take a back seat to Nancy Pelosi’s reckless shutdown tactics. We’ll make sure voters remember that in November.
