Brad Ashford can’t hold a consistent position any more than a leaky bucket can hold water.

The AP’s latest story has a brutal lede for the embattled ex-Congressman: “Just 18 months after declaring his opposition to banning assault weapons, Nebraska Democrat Brad Ashford has changed his mind.”

That’s in addition to Ashford’s high-profile flip-flops this cycle alone on the Keystone XL pipeline, immigration, and self-describing as “conservative,” “moderate,” AND “progressive.” Brad is so notorious the Omaha World-Herald recently mocked his penchant for flip-flopping in a political cartoon.

To be fair to Ashford, it’s probably easy to switch positions at every change of the political winds if you’re completely lacking in principles or core convictions whatsoever.

So he’s got that going for him.
