leaving no doubt
Nancy Pelosi just made it 100% clear – she is not going anywhere, and Democrats wanting new leadership are just going to have to deal with it.
Speaking to the Boston Globe, Pelosi said: “I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too… I have no intention of walking away from that table.”
That certainly makes it awkward for red-state Democrats like Paul Davis, who may have called for new leadership, but finds himself in a position of supporting Pelosi’s agenda either way.
And Davis still refuses to say whether he’ll reject funding from Pelosi-financed groups like the DCCC and House Majority PAC, further demonstrating his words are empty.
“Regardless of Paul Davis’ words, we know from actions in the legislature he will vote for unrestricted abortion, gun control, and massive tax hikes. Paul Davis’ values are Nancy Pelosi’s values – whether he will say it out loud or not.” – NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol
