Spitting Game

Nancy Pelosi has an unfortunate announcement for Dan McCready: she isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

This complicates things for McCready. Here’s why:

1. Dan McCready has accepted over $10,000 in campaign cash from the DCCC.
2. Nancy Pelosi contributed “45 percent of the committee’s $34 million raised in the first quarter of 2018.”
3. Pelosi told the Boston Globe: “We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too.”
4. McCready said to the Washington Post: “I’ve said since Day One that I wouldn’t vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker.”

Seems believable…

If McCready expects voters to take his vow to oppose Nancy Pelosi as Speaker seriously, then he must return the over $10,000 he has already accepted, and reject future DCCC donations.
