“Voters always know best”

In a brutal interview this morning with MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson, DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Lujan struggled to answer for Democrats’ controversial interventions in primaries like Colorado’s Sixth District, while simultaneously expressing no regrets.

Asked about Steny Hoyer’s attempt to muscle Levi Tillemann out of the race, Lujan could merely muster: “Voters always know best.” (LOL)

Tillemann has used the incident as anti-establishment rocket fuel for his campaign, with more than 1,000 new donors giving to his campaign after The Intercept published audio of his confrontation with Steny Hoyer.
