“Notetaker”
Andy Kim claims he was a “strategic advisor” to Commanding Generals David Petraeus and John Allen in Afghanistan in early 2011, but State Department records from later that year say differently.
Freedom of Information Act requests reveal Kim was listed as a “Notetaker” in State Department e-mails, making him the lowest-level staffer in the room.
A follow-up FOIA request to the State Department seeking more details about the positions listed on Andy Kim’s Linkedin page received the following response: “[There are] 61 Andrew Kim’s…none have these credentials.”
Kim also claimed to have a close relationship with General Petraeus, but his name was never even mentioned in an extensive biography penned by Petraeus’ mistress, Paula Broadwell, and Vernon Loeb, a reporter with the Washington Post.
Looks like Andy has some explaining to do…
