I support single payer, Medicare-for-all style healthcare reform to ensure that everyone has access to high quality, affordable health care and prescription drugs.

While John Heenan and the Bernie Sanders wing of the party may tout European-style single-payer healthcare as “free,” we see just how costly it is.

Under a government-run single-payer system, patients can expect average treatment waiting times of 20 weeks. Citizens can expect an annual cost of $400 Billion per state, likely leading to an estimated 31% tax increase. And the 448,700 Montanans currently relying on employer-based insurance can expect that freedom to be stripped away.

Seeing just how costly single-payer would be on Montana, I ask John Heenan to please explain why he supports this crown jewel of the Democratic agenda, sure to bankrupt our country.
