Bernie Sanders doppelgänger

In a crowded primary field like NY-19, Democrats have a hard time discerning who the most liberal candidate is. An endorsement by actress-turned-liberal activist Susan Sarandon would go a long way.

Today Sarandon endorsed Jeff Beals, praising his “unabashedly progressive campaign” as an “authentic contrast to corporate centrist rhetoric.”

She referenced a story by Rolling Stones which cited Beals’ previous endorsement from a national Bernie Sanders organization, calling him a “Sanders doppelgänger.”

With the New York primary date quickly approaching, it looks like the liberal Hollywood elites are finally picking their favorite.
