important update on NY-22

Last night Chris Matthews pressed the Democratic nominee in the Ohio-12 special election on his comments disavowing Nancy Pelosi.

Danny O’Connor confirmed that when it came down to it, he would vote for the Democratic nominee for Speaker after spending months calling for “new leadership on both sides of the aisle.”

Sound familiar? Here’s Anthony Brindisi’s statement on disavowing Pelosi: “It’s something that I decided early on by talking to voters in the district,” Brindisi said in an interview Thursday. “I believe it’s time for new leadership on both sides of the aisle. I’ve always been an independent voice in Albany, and I will continue to do that in Washington.”

Brindisi is trying to play the exact same political game with voters that O’Connor was.
