Important news in TX-32
New information has come to light about Colin Allred’s past that could be a game-changer in the race for Texas’ 32nd District.
Allred served as a research assistant for author Ian Haney Lopez’s 2014 book titled “Dog Whistle Politics.” In the book, Allred and Haney Lopez allege that whites live in suburbs and go to private schools in order to flee interacting with minorities, and that whites measure success by being able to avoid interacting with minorities.
Allred and Haney Lopez write: “well-off whites remain the most racially isolated group in the United States.”
Allred calls his partner, Haney Lopez, “really well-respected.” But is sowing division along racial lines like this worthy of respect?
