Hypocrite [hip–uh-krit]: a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. See also: Gil Cisneros

A new report shows that when Cisneros pledges to fight those who are “beholden to corporate oil money,” he’s actually referring to himself.

That’s because according to Gil’s personal financial disclosure, he currently holds between $500,000 – $1.4 million in oil and gas investments… including in a firm forced to pay millions in settlements after giving bribes to officials at a state-controlled firm in Uzbekistan.

Gil’s creating quite the paper trail of hypocrisy:

• Pledged to fight big oil, invested in big oil himself
• Pledged to oppose Pelosi for Speaker, raised money with her in person
• Pledged to be a champion for women, accused of sexual harassment
