NRCC Adds Steve Watkins To Young Guns “Contenders”

WASHINGTON – The NRCC today added Steve Watkins in KS-02 to its Young Guns “Contenders” phase–the second tier of the Young Guns program. To be included, Republican candidates must meet specific goals throughout the cycle to ensure their campaigns are able to operate effectively.

“Steve Watkins has proved he is running a strong campaign focused on the issues impacting eastern Kansas,” said NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers. “His impressive career of service demonstrates he will put the needs of Kansans first. I’m excited to name Steve to the Contender phase of our Young Guns program. I know he will work relentlessly to keep this seat red.”
