NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers’ Statement on Senator John McCain’s Passing

NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers released the following statement regarding AZ Senator John McCain’s passing:

“John McCain was the embodiment of honor and service,” said NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers.

“He once wrote that ‘Glory belongs to the act of being constant to something greater than yourself, to a cause, to your principles, to the people on whom you rely and who rely on you.’ There is, perhaps, no better sentence than that to sum up his illustrious life. John simply did not live a day on this Earth in service to himself. And, because of that life, our country is a better place.

“John McCain is a hero and role model to me. He will be deeply missed.”
