this is the extent of my tax fraud
Dean Phillips has a very, very hard time with the truth.
After he was exposed for not paying his business taxes on time, Phillips did two things. First, he whined about it on Twitter. Second, he told supporters that paying his business taxes late was “the extent of my tax fraud.” Video here.
Is that a normal thing to say on Facebook Live? No. But is it true? Also no.
Records show that Dean Phillips was also delinquent on his personal property taxes to the tune of $2,239.85 on multiple properties.
“It’s disturbing that Dean Phillips takes no issue with lying straight to voters’ faces. The NRCC calls on him to set the record straight and tell voters the truth: not only was he delinquent on his business taxes, he also had to pay thousands of dollars in penalties on his personal taxes – and then lied about it. Lying Dean Phillips has no business representing Minnesotans when can’t even tell them the truth.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Maddie Anderson
