about Wallace’s new ad
Scott Wallace’s latest campaign ad entitled “Orange” features a convicted felon who committed gun crimes promoting his candidacy.
According to public records, James Thomson was sentenced to 18 months in prison with 2 years of supervised release for illegally trafficking a fully automatic assault rifle. In a previous campaign ad, Wallace appears in a school hallway and states that “Prayers and condolences don’t mean a thing if we don’t take action to protect our kids.”
“Apparently Scott Wallace didn’t think illegally obtaining and handing off a machine gun was enough to disqualify someone from representing him. We’re calling on Wallace to explain why he chose to feature a man with a record of committing gun crimes in his campaign advertising.” – NRCC Spokesman Chris Martin
