NRCC Weekly Rundown: Democrats have lost their collective minds
And here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:
National: Democrats went all out this week as their party continues to lose its collective mind. Virginia Democrats are pushing a new law to allow abortion up to the second of birth, with Governor Ralph Northam (D) going even further, advocating for post-birth abortion (i.e. infanticide). Meanwhile Democrat anti-Semitism went mainstream with former Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett approving of anti-Semite Ilhan Omar’s vile rhetoric. In the House, Democrats were so obsessed with partisanship that they actually blocked a Republican effort to deny pay raises to government employees who are guilty of sexual misconduct. On the 2020 campaign trail, Kamala Harris was busy vowing to eliminate all employer-based and private health insurance. All this, and we’re only one month into the Democrat majority!
National: While vulnerable House Dems are desperately trying to convince voters that their party actually cares about them, their radical colleagues are working overtime to dispel that myth. Members of the Crazy Caucus, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and anti-Semites Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi demanding that not another dollar be sent to the Department of Homeland Security.
CA-25: Freshman Rep. Katie Hill decided to voice her support for Ilhan Omar as the anti-Semite Congresswoman was in the midst of a Twitter spat with a Jewish colleague who took issue with her vile rhetoric. Apparently radical Dems like Hill and Omar will stick together, even when one of them is embracing hate. And Omar isn’t the only radical lefty who Hill embraced this week. The day after Kamala Harris made news promising to kick every American off of their private health insurance, Hill offered her endorsement for the Senator’s 2020 presidential campaign.
GA-06: Nearly three months since her election, Lucy McBath is still unable to perform even routine constituent services. McBath did find the time, however, to tweet out a plea for campaign donations (which she promptly deleted after being called out by the NRCC).
NJ-03: With his first vote in Congress, Andy Kim broke a promise to voters by supporting Nancy Pelosi for Speaker. And now constituents are letting him hear it, with one voter telling him, “I was really on the fence, but the thing that changed my mind in your favor was your promise not to vote for Nancy Pelosi for speaker…but that really on day one left a bad taste in my mouth.” Ouch.
NY-19: As Ilhan Omar took heat for declaring that Israel was not a democracy, the NRCC took the opportunity to remind voters that Antonio Delgado holds the exact same anti-Semitic beliefs. During a 2018 debate, Delgado told voters, “Israel is not a Jewish Democracy.”
OK-15: We’re just a month into the new Congress, but accidental Congresswoman Kendra Horn and her liberal allies are already calling foul on the NRCC daring to criticize her growing record of siding with radical Democrats over Oklahomans. It’s going to be a long cycle for Horn and her extremist pals!
Virginia: While the country was talking about Virginia Democrats’ efforts to legalize infanticide, for which “moderate” Governor Ralph Northam had no regrets, Elaine Luria and Abigail Spanberger chose to stick their heads in the sand. Here’s a clue as to why: the radical abortion lobby funds their campaigns to the tune of $357,801 for Luria and $603,062 for Spanberger.
News and Notes:
Rep. Ilhan Omar slammed for saying she ‘chuckles’ when Israel is called a democracy, compares it to Iran
Embattled congressional freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is facing backlash after comparing Israel to Iran and said she “almost chuckle[s]” when the Jewish state is described as a democracy.
The Democrat, who’s already been criticized both for her loose language and support of American adversaries such as Venezuela, made her controversial remarks during a Yahoo! News interview published on Tuesday. READ
GOP groups hit McBath for slow constituent service
U.S. Rep. Lucy McBath is under fire for her constituent service work – or alleged lack thereof. InsiderAdvantage posted a form letter the Marietta Democrat’s office sent a constituent last week, directing him to U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson’s office for urgent inquiries while the Sixth District office contended with a “high volume of correspondence.” READ
House Dems Reject GOP Proposal to Block Raises for Federal Employees Guilty of Sexual Misconduct
House Democrats on Wednesday rejected a Republican proposal to add a provision that would block federal employees who were disciplined for sexual misconduct to receive the same pay raise as the rest of their colleagues.
Republicans attempted to add the provision to legislation proposed by Democrats to give federal workers a 2.6 percent raise. The Republican proposal was to simply stipulate that workers disciplined for sexual misconduct be exempt from the raise. READ
Stand up for Israel, Dems: The party must reassert its support for the Jewish state
The arrival of freshmen Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, the first members of Congress to back the insidious and borderline anti-Semitic boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against Israel, demands that Democrats who know better step up and be counted. READ
Kamala Harris vows to get rid of private health care plans: ‘Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on’
California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris, speaking during a town hall Monday night, vowed to eliminate all private health care insurance for approximately 150 million Americans if she is elected president.
Asked by CNN host Jake Tapper if people who like their current health care insurance could keep it under Harris’ “Medicare for All” plan, Harris indicated they could not — but that, in turn, they would experience health care without any delays. READ
