Anti-Semite Ilhan Omar is showing just how empty her apology was for her despicable bigotry, fundraising off the controversy and vowing she “will not be silenced.”
Enough is enough. By allowing Omar to keep her position on the prestigious Foreign Affairs Committee, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are giving Omar a platform to spew her hateful rhetoric.

Freshman Rep. IIhan Omar is fundraising off the controversy that began when she suggested lawmakers support Israel because of the money they get from a pro-Israel lobbying group and not out of principle.
“We will not be silenced,” says a message encouraging people to donate and noting President Trump’s call for the Minnesota Democrat to resign or at least step aside from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Omar has been the subject of criticism from both Republicans and Democrats after some of her tweets Sunday were labeled anti-Semitic.
“It’s all about the Benjamins, baby,” Omar tweeted in response to journalist Glenn Greenwald, who had criticized House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., for vowing to take action against Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who are both Muslim, for their criticisms of Israel.
In a subsequent tweet responding to the editor of The Forward newspaper, Omar said it was “AIPAC!”, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, that was paying politicians to support Israel.
Notably, AIPAC has also fundraised off the controversy.
Omar “unequivocally” apologized on Twitter for her comments on Monday after Democratic leadership called on her to do so for perpetuating an anti-Semitic trope.
“Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes,” she said in a statement. “My intention is never to offend my constituents or Jewish Americans as a whole.”
Trump said he didn’t believe Omar’s apology went far enough. “I think she should be ashamed of herself. I think it was a terrible statement and I don’t think her apology was adequate,” he said on Monday.
During a Tuesday Cabinet meeting, he went further. “I think she should either resign from Congress, or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” Trump said.
Omar and Tlaib, who were the first Muslim women elected to Congress, have previously taken heat for their vocal support of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel for its treatment of Palestinians.
