NRCC Weekly Rundown: socialist Democrats become Russia truthers

March 31, 2019

And here’s this week’s edition of the NRCC Weekly Rundown:

(National) This week Robert Mueller’s two-year, $25 million special investigation into Trump-Russia collusion came to an end and Democrats are refusing to take off their tin-foil hatsPresident Trump was completely exonerated of any wrong-doing, yet the left can’t seem to accept the results of Mueller’s long-awaited, highly respected report. Instead of fear-mongering and throwing emotional tantrums, Democrats should put on their big-boy pants and apologize to their constituents for peddling dangerous conspiracy theoriesthat did nothing but divide our country.

(National) Adam Schiff, known for his unabashed lies and repeated false claims during Mueller’s Russia probe, was rewarded for his irresponsible behavior after the DCCC named him their “National Frontline Finance Chair.” Even after the Special Counsel and Department of Justice cleared President Trump of all wrongdoing, Schiff doubled down on his ridiculous statement that “undoubtedly there is collusion” involving President Trump. Does the DCCC’s  announcement mean Chairwoman Cheri Bustos and the socialist House Democrats are on board with Schiff’s deranged conspiracy theories and inability to tell the truth?

(National) After proudly co-sponsoring Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist Green New Deal, Democrats took to Twitter to complain about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s decision to bring the legislation to the floor for a vote. Instead of applauding McConnell, the left is upset that lawmakers had an opportunity to officially take a position on the deal, which Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi has thus far refused to do. If holding a vote on the $93 trillion socialist takeover of our economy is thisproblematic, Dems should just take their names off the list of cosponsors and admit what a joke the Green New Deal is.

(National) There’s a civil war brewing within the Democratic Party, and General Ocasio-Cortez is at the helm. A senior aide to the socialist Democrat is encouraging members of the Progressive Caucus to stop paying dues to the DCCC after the committee announced their plan to blacklist firms that support grassroots primary challengers. Such a move would be a serious blow to the DCCC, which directly raised more than $30 million from candidate committees and leadership PACs last election cycle, not to mention the millions raised by members for the committee.

(National) PolitiFact has once again been proven wrong after reflexively calling a Republican a liar. In 2015, the liberal blog gave a “False” rating to then-candidate Trump for stating that the Taliban operatives swapped for Bowe Bergdahl were back on the battlefield. PolitiFact said there was “no evidence to support Trump’s claim.” But, according to a New York Times report, those very same terrorists – who PolitiFact determined had not rejoined the Taliban – are now representing the Taliban in negotiations with the United States. Looks like Angie Holan and her liberal hacks owe President Trump an apology or at least a correction.

(AZ-01) The DCCC took a step this week to avoid intra-party fighting ahead of the 2020 elections, and Tom O’Halleran’s primary opponent, Eva Putzovaisn’t happy. The DCCC is threatening firms saying it won’t contract with or recommend services of anyone who works for a candidate challenging a Democrat incumbent – Eva included. Putzova – a supporter of the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and abolishing ICE – believes the DCCC is “stifling what made people excited about politics again – more fresh, young, diverse, female voices – for power.” Why is the DCCC trying to protect incumbent Democrats? And why are they so afraid of the rising progressive arm of their party?

(CA-21) Congressman TJ Cox graced the front page of The Fresno Bee last weekend after it was discovered that his foundation, the Central Valley Community Sports Foundation, is unable to operate, solicit, and/or distribute donations because it is delinquent with the state of California. TJ claims he has nothing to do with this financial fiasco because he hasn’t been involved with the organization since his election, but that’s a lie. Why? The foundation has been warned of possible delinquency or hit delinquent status, every year since 2015 when TJ led the foundation as treasurer and secretary. Looks like TJ has some explaining to do…

(CA-25) Looks like Katie Hill, vice chairwoman of the House Oversight Committee, is following in the footsteps of Tom Steyer by spinning conspiracy theories about impeaching President Trump. You would think the Democrats’ hopes and dreams of impeaching the president died a painful death with the release of the Mueller report summary, however, Hill is keeping those dreams alive with her statement that highly suspicious” evidence about President Trump was missing from the report. Is Hill spinning these conspiracy theories because Steyer poured almost $4 million into California to elect Democrats in 2018? Or maybe Hill is afraid of a Steyer-funded primary challenge in 2020?

(GA-06) Less than one day after former Congresswoman Karen Handel announced she’s running for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, Lucy McBath started running at least TEN fundraising ads exclusively outside the state of Georgia. Why is Lucy raising money from out-of-state liberals and hiding it from Georgians? Perhaps Lucy has realized her party’s radical socialist agenda is widely unpopular among her constituents. Or, maybe it’s because she’s actually a resident of Tennessee. You’re a long way from home, Lucy!

(Michigan) Both Elissa Slotkin and Haley Stevens have talked an awful lot about getting big money out of politics – Slotkin even pledged to Michiganders she wouldn’t take PAC money at all. So, will they ask the Democratic Super PAC dropping $50 million in Michigan (and chaired by former Gov. Jennifer Granholm) to stay out of their races? So far, crickets. Most likely Slotkin and Stevens are just two more Washington politicians who are full of it.

(MI-08) Back in February, Elissa Slotkin promised her constituents that she would publish her official schedule on a weekly basis. Slotkin quickly ditched that commitment, and only updated her schedule after the NRCC called her out. Since then, Slotkin STILL hasn’t kept up with her promise, so we decided to remind her again. Apparently, Elissa needs a babysitter in order to make good on her commitments to Michiganders. Embarrassing.

(MI-11) It’s official: Haley Stevens is more liberal than former President Obama. In Chicago, Haley listened as her former boss warned freshman members of Congress like herself of the socialist policies coming out of her party. Too late for Haley, who has already outpaced the former president by backing  “dynamic rock star” AOC, and leader of the socialist movement Bernie Sanders.

(MN-03) This week President Trump extended the Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) for Liberians, and although Dean Phillips tweeted his praise, he left out two very important words – “thank you.” Phillips should learn how to use his manners unless he’s just going to continue to stand with those in his party who wish to “Impeach the m—f—-!”

(NY-19) Antonio Delgado loves to bash the influence of special interests, but during his brief time in office, he’s loyally followed orders from one of his biggest donors, Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood spent a total of $479,797 supporting Delgado’s 2018 campaign. Maybe that’s why days after backing taxpayer-funded infanticide, Delgado was out celebrating the opening of Planned Parenthood’s newest office in Hudson, NY. Apparently Antonio Delgado only has a problem with big donors when he’s not the one benefitting from them.

(NC-09) Democrat Dan McCready’s website proudly proclaims, “Dan balanced the budget and made payroll. We should expect the same of Congress.” But Dan’s socialist Democratic party is refusing to propose or pass a budget because they are a divided mess. Now that his party is ditching a fundamental part of their job, does Dan still believe Democrats need to produce a budget? If not, maybe he should use some money from his “campaign kickoff” to correct his website.

(TX-32) In an interview with Dallas Weekly, Colin Allred had some soaring rhetoric about the importance of a budget, saying, “Budgets are about values. It’s a statement of values.” So, by Allred’s standard, he and his socialist Democrat colleagues value…nothing! The Washington Post reports that House Democrats will not even propose a budget, let alone pass one, as they seek to avoid taking a vote on zany socialist ideas like the Green New Deal, Medicare For All, and massive tax hikes. Looks like the only thing Allred and the socialist Democrats value is sitting on their hands and collecting a $174,000 salary.

(Virginia) Just a reminder that it’s been almost two months since Virginia Democrats became engulfed in disgusting and offensive scandals. In case you forgot the details, here’s a recap:

  • Governor Ralph Northam supported infanticide and admitted to wearing blackface…
  • Multiple women accused Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax of rape and sexual assault…
  • And AG Mark Herring also wore blackface.

All three of these men are still in office, and Elaine Luria, Abigail Spanberger, and Jennifer Wexton have been awfully quiet. Maybe it’s because they’re still holding onto Justin Fairfax’s cash…

(WI-03) In an interview with Wisconsin Public Radio, Ron Kind said we need to “remove the President of the United States” from office. Not a smart move, seeing as President Trump won Kind’s district handily in 2016. So, does Ron plan to co-sponsor the impeachment legislation introduced by radical socialist Rashida Tlaib (who declared, “We’re going to impeach this m—-f—-!“)? Unlikely, because that would probably go over as well as Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign efforts in the Badger State.
