Slotkin muzzles her constituents

On the campaign trail, Elissa Slotkin asserted that a town hall “means inviting the public — anyone who wants to come — to a big event where they can ask questions, where they can engage with the person that they elected to represent them.”

She also (correctly) pointed out that “Constituents should be able to ask questions of their representatives.”

Now that she is in office, however, Slotkin is either directing her staff to screen questions, or avoiding them completely herself.

Given Slotkin’s impressive ability to continuously break the promises she made to Michiganders, this blatant hypocrisy is no surprise.
