Harley Rouda’s reelection announcement

Harley Rouda is set to announce his campaign for reelection tomorrow. Here are a couple reminders why you can’t trust him to represent Orange County:  

Harely Rouda’s a hypocrite: 

• Rouda voted for HR 1, but didn’t resign his corporate board seats. (then he lied to The Daily Beast about it). 

• Rouda voted for HR 1, which would make dark money groups disclose their donors, but Rouda won’t call out the dark money group currently supporting him.

• Rouda promised voters he wouldn’t take PAC money, but he still is.

Harley Rouda tells voters what they want to hear – not what he actually believes:

• Rouda told Democrat primary voters in February 2018 that he absolutely supported impeaching the President. Then, suddenly, during the 2018 general election he switched his position to waiting for the Mueller report. And then, after socialists like AOC embraced baseless impeachment, he quickly followed suit, despite California voters wanting nothing to do with impeaching President Trump. 

• Rouda told Democrat primary voters he supported Medicare for All – even circulating a petition about it and stating that he supports a single payer system. But, now, Rouda declines to talk about the policy that will kick millions off their health insurance plans.
