At a Rotary Club event in Cedar Rapids yesterday, Abby Finkenauer expressed concern for the prospect of rural hospitals closing. What Abby left out was that it’s her own socialist agenda that’s putting those hospitals at risk.

Earlier this month, a study showed that Democrats’ plan for a socialist “public option” for health insurance would force the closure of as many as 52 rural hospitals in Iowa, threatening the care for countless families in rural communities. Finkenauer, of course, is a long time supporter of the public option, even making it a centerpiece of her 2018 campaign.
