TJ Cox loaned campaign cash instead of paying taxes

In case you missed the Fresno Bee’s front page yesterday, TJ Cox loaned his congressional campaign money instead of paying his taxes.

Cox, instead of paying back $145,000 in federal income taxes, loaned his campaign $257,500 in 2018.

Cox told the Fresno Bee he’s on a repayment plan to pay back the IRS the money the American people are owed. But, wouldn’t the right and responsible move have been to pay your taxes instead using that money to get yourself elected to Congress?
