Harley Rouda votes for Assembly Bill 5
Harley Rouda voted Friday for the PRO Act, legislation that severely harms freelancers working in the gig economy.
The legislation uses language eerily similar to California’s Assembly Bill 5, a newly implemented (and extremely unpopular) California law that heavily restricts the amount of freelance work independent contractors can perform.
Why would Rouda vote for a bill he knows is extremely unpopular in California? Because Labor PACs give big money to Harley!
PS: Can you guess which language goes with the state law vs. the federal legislation?
