NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer Statement on the CA-49 Jungle Primary Election

WASHINGTON – NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer released the following statement regarding the results of tonight’s CA-49 jungle primary:

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s acolyte Mike Levin will be soundly defeated by Brian Maryott come November. Levin’s support for abolishing private health insurance and raising taxes by thousands of dollars to pay for the Green New Deal is sorely out-of-touch. I congratulate Brian on his victory and know he will bring much-needed pragmatism back to California’s 49th Congressional District.”
