NM-02: Xochitl Torres Small (D) vs. Yvette Herrell (R)
Xochitl Torres Small campaigned as a conservative in this strongly Republican district, even going so far as to feature herself shooting a gun in an ad, but her record in Washington hasn’t matched the rhetoric. Torres Small has been a reliable rubber stamp for Democrats’ socialist agenda, voting with Nancy Pelosi 94% of the time and supporting everything from gun control to anti-oil and gas legislation.
Yvette Herrell has a strong record of delivering conservative results for New Mexico from her time in the state legislature. Herrell is a lifelong New Mexican and small businesswoman and would be the first Native-American Republican woman elected to the U.S. House.
