SUBJECT: KY-06 PRIMARY RESULTS
Andy Barr (R) vs. Josh Hicks (D)   It’s laughable that the Democrats think KY-06 is remotely winnable.  Andy Barr triumphed last cycle during a wave election and will have no problem this year. He has been a leader in Kentucky helping to create jobs, improve national security and support our veterans. Barr will be helped by President Trump at the top of ticket who won this district by over 15 points.   Josh Hicks is backed by the socialist Democrats in Washington and was even described as “very progressive” by Rep. John Yarmuth. Kentuckians know Josh will support the socialist Democrats’ extreme agenda and will reject him in the fall.

PVI: R+9   2016 Presidential Results: Trump 54.7% – Clinton 39.4%

Ratings: Cook Political Report – Likely R; Inside Elections – Solid R

Geography: The district includes Lexington and its suburbs, Richmond and Frankfort. It is almost entirely within the Lexington DMA, with the Cincinnati DMA serving 0.32% of the district.
