Christy Smith refers to CA-25 as “my seat”

WATCH Christy Smith refer to California’s 25th Congressional District as “my seat” during her campaign kickoff last Thursday. 

Christy Smith has never represented California’s 25th Congressional District in Congress and Smith lost CA-25’s May special election by nearly 10 points.

TO REITERATE: The voters of California’s 25th Congressional District have never elected Christy Smith to Congress.

Though Smith obviously feels differently, she is not entitled to this seat. 

As Scott Brown might say, “It’s the People’s Seat.”
