ICYMI: Fake Nurse loves Fake News

Much like she loves to pretend to be a nurse, Fake Nurse Lauren Underwood loves to pretend she is combatting misinformation on social media.

She often touts her bill, the Protecting Against Public Safety Disinformation Act.

And tweets feel-good fluff like, “we must prevent the spread of election-related misinformation on social media platforms.”

But she’s refused to condemn the dark money funded fake news site disguising her partisan press releases as news stories.

It’s clear Fake Nurse Lauren only has a problem with misinformation when it’s not helping her campaign.

Courier Newsroom, a “news” site bankrolled by a major Democratic fundraising network, has undertaken a seven-figure ad campaign to push flattering pieces about vulnerable House Democrats, garnering millions of impressions on social media.

This election cycle, Courier has boosted nearly a dozen vulnerable Democratic candidates on Facebook, where its posts have reached millions of users, according to Facebook analytics. Those candidates include Democratic Reps. Lauren Underwood (Ill.), Xochitl Torres Small (N.M.), Andy Kim (N.J.), Abigail Spanberger (Va.), Antonio Delgado (N.Y.), Max Rose (N.Y.), and Jared Golden (Maine).
