FRESNO BEE: Rep. TJ Cox was anonymous officer at center of Fresno City audit

Rep. TJ Cox isn’t just a corrupt tax cheat anymore, it also looks like he’s a corrupt money launderer. 

The Fresno Bee is reporting TJ Cox is the anonymous “corporate officer” at the center of a Fresno City audit which looked into one of TJ Cox’s nonprofits, the Central Valley Community Sports Foundation, for misuse of taxpayer dollars. 

The audit found, and bank records show, one of Cox’s businesses (his new market tax credit company) transferred $50,000 to the Central Valley Community Sports Foundation, and then Cox transferred that same money into his personal bank account. 

The audit also says TJ Cox did not provide an “adequate explanation” for the transfer of funds.
