First knife out for Pelosi

In the next Congress, Nancy Pelosi will be dealing with the smallest Dem majority in generations, and the defections have already begun.

Michigan liberal Elissa Slotkin became the first Dem to jump ship, declaring “I will not be voting for Nancy Pelosi.” Slotkin’s defection is notable because she’s been so loyal to Pelosi despite representing a swing district. In her first term Slotkin voted with Pelosi 96% of the time and cast a yes vote for Pelosi’s impeachment plot and Pelosi’s anti-cop bill.

If Pelosi can’t even keep true blue liberals like Slotkin in line, how can she hope to keep the Speaker’s gavel?
