Henry Cuellar silent on Biden fracking ban
January 22, 2021
Joe Biden just delivered on another one of his campaign promises, placing a moratorium on new oil and gas leases on public lands.
These leases account for 25% of the United States’ crude oil output and a ban on new leases could cost 60,000 jobs and $800 million in public funding for services such as public schools and first responders.
Henry Cuellar argued in 2015 that lifting a ban on crude oil exports would lower gas prices, create more jobs and help US interests.
Now, Cuellar is silent as Biden bans new fracking and implements job-killing energy policies in the middle of pandemic.
Why won’t Cuellar stand up for Texas jobs?
