Henry Cuellar knew fracking ban was coming, still supported Biden

Henry Cuellar was all in for Biden during the 2020 election, despite Biden’s campaign promise to ban fracking on public land (SEE HERE on Biden’s campaign website). A promise that could cost Texans 120,000 jobs.

During the first week of his administration, Biden made good on his campaign promise – issuing a moratorium banning new oil and gas leases on public land and eliminating thousands of Texas jobs. 

And Henry Cuellar seemed surprised…signing onto a letter asking Biden to immediately reverse his moratorium. Which is odd since Cuellar already knew this moratorium was coming. 

Why did Cuellar support Biden in the first place?
