Teachers unions buying McNerney’s silence?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is out with a new study showing there has been little evidence that schools have contributed meaningfully to increased transmission of the coronavirus.  

But teachers unions across California are refusing to show up to work despite a “striking drop in students’ academic performance” and a surge in student suicide.  

Even Gavin Newsom is growing frustrated with teachers unions, but Jerry McNerney has remained largely silent on the issue. 

Teachers unions contributed $9,000 to McNerney’s campaign in 2020. 

Is McNerney afraid of losing union support if he speaks out against them?
