Why are New York Democrats still protecting Cuomo?

Since discovering Gov. Andrew Cuomo deliberately undercounted COVID deaths in nursing homes, most New York Democrats are still silent and refusing to take action.

In the last week alone, New York Democrats:

• Voted against Rep. Steve Scalise’s amendment in the House Energy and Commerce Committee requiring the state to turn over all data on nursing home deaths
• Blocked legislation in the Ways and Means Committee requiring governors to report accurate nursing home data
• Said nothing as Cuomo’s top aide admitted they withheld the COVID death toll in nursing homes for political purposes
• Avoided reporters to evade questions on the coverup

New York Democrats have more than enough information – including a full admission from the governor’s top aide – to call for justice on Cuomo’s horrific COVID cover-up.
