Cuellar, Gonzalez backtrack on Biden border criticism
Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez are doing some major backtracking on Biden’s border crisis.
Cuellar, who had previously said that if Biden didn’t act, he’d have a “crisis” on his hands, is now backtracking and told the Texas Standard today that we don’t have a “crisis” at the border but a “challenge.”
That sure sounds like White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki talking, not Cuellar.
This comes after Vicente Gonzalez told CNN on Sunday he thinks “the administration is on the right track [on border security and messaging.]
Gonzalez had previously called Biden’s immigration plans “catastrophic.”
Are Gonzalez and Cuellar being told to tone it down? Or have they had a change of heart?
Because the only change at the border is the increase in illegal migrant crossings.
