WTAS: House Republicans’ Massive Fundraising Haul
April 8, 2021
In case you missed it, powered by a record-breaking March, the NRCC today announced it raised $33.7 million in Q1.
Here’s what they’re saying:
Fox News: Gunning for majority, House GOP reelection arm reports large fundraising haul
- As Republicans work toward winning back the House of Representatives majority in the 2022 midterm elections, the party’s reelection committee is off to a strong fundraising start.
The Hill: Republican House campaign arm rakes in $33.7 million in first quarter
- The haul comes as the GOP looks to the 2022 midterms as a prime chance to win back the House, which was lost in the 2018 blue wave. Democrats hold one of the smallest majorities in modern history, and history is on Republicans’ side given that the party in the White House typically loses seats in the midterms.
Breitbart: NRCC Announces Massive Record Breaking Fundraising for Quarter 1
- The Republicans are gearing up their war chest against the Democrats to take back the House. With Pelosi having a very slim majority, Republicans only need five seats to win back the House.
Washington Examiner: Jan. 6 fallout fails to derail House GOP bid to win back Congress in 2022
- But if GOP fundraising in the first quarter is any indication, the notion that Jan. 6 would be an albatross for the party as it endeavors to reclaim the House and Senate now seems like a doubtful scenario, regardless of how the 2022 election cycle unfolds.
