Spanberger and Luria rake in more money from teachers’ unions
Roll Call is reporting that donations from teachers’ unions spiked as Congress was debating reopening schools.
The American Federation of Teachers political action committee gave $1.6M to congressional candidates and committees and the National Education Association’s PAC increased its federal donations by 38 percent in first quarter compared to last year.
And, of course, union loyalists Abigail Spanberger and Elaine Luria benefited.
Each Congresswoman received $7,000 from the NEA and AFT combined in this year’s first quarter.
That’s their reward for keeping silent while these teachers’ unions ignored science and argued that schools should be kept closed while Virginia children suffered.
