Simsbury business owner can’t find employees

May 11, 2021

Remember when Democrats said the American Rescue Plan would put “people back in jobs?”

It turns out the bill that Jahana Hayes voted for is paying many Americans more money not to work than they would make working.

Connecticut businesses like Metro Bis in Simsbury are paying the price.

Chef-owner Christopher Prosperi said he’s limited hours at the restaurant because they’re waiting for college kids – “the only ones not on unemployment” – to come back. Prosperi said the federally enhanced unemployment means “people are making a living staying home” and creating a labor shortage.

Jahana Hayes’ socialist agenda isn’t putting people back on the job, it’s destroying local small businesses and the economy.
