Virginia Beach business owners can’t find employees

Remember when Democrats, like Elaine Luria, said the American Rescue Plan would put “workers back on the job”?

Instead, the United States posted the biggest jobs report miss in 23 years because it turns out when you pay people not to work, they don’t work.

Stacey Shiflet, executive director of the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association said, “One of the challenges for the hospitality industry has been competing with unemployment benefits… People who are capable of working, they’re getting these checks from the government …it seems that they’re able to get by with the amount that is provided.”

Elaine Luria and the Democrats’ socialist agenda isn’t putting people back on the job, it’s destroying local small businesses and the economy.
