“We are competing with an entity that can print its own money”
Remember when Democrats said the American Rescue Plan would put “people back in jobs?”
It turns out the bill that Chris Pappas voted for is paying many Americans more money not to work than they would make working.
New Hampshire businesses like Alene Candles, based in Milford, are paying the price.
Alene Candles is looking to fill 1,500 positions for its Milford facility, but CEO Rod Harl says, “We have had more than 100 positions open since the start of the year, and just recently we increased sign-on bonuses to $1,200 for hourly positions – in-part because we are competing with an entity that can print its own money – the federal government – and its $300 per week additional unemployment benefit.”
Chris Pappas’ socialist agenda isn’t putting people back on the job, it’s destroying local small businesses and the economy.
