Customs and Border Protection reported 178,622 migrants tried illegally crossing into the U.S. in April, up from 172,331 in March. 

The latest monthly number marks a new 20-year high for illegal border crossings in the United States. 

Still, Democrats claim there’s no crisis at the southern border and they have the situation under control. 

Reality Check: Democrats do not have anything under control.
