NYPD Commissioner: Democrats’ criminal reform laws “have proven disastrous”

NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said this weekend that Democrats’ criminal justice reforms are to blame for spiking crime in New York City.

With murders on the rise and a 70 percent increase in shootings this year, Bratton said liberal reforms like cashless bail “have proven disastrous” and “take care of the defendant” instead of the victim.

Thanks to anti-law enforcement policies embraced by New York Democrats Tom Suozzi, Kathleen Rice, Sean Patrick Maloney, Antonio Delgado, Paul Tonko, Joe Morelle, and Brian Higgins, there is no “political will to deal with” the rise in crime.

New York Democrats’ failure to stand up for law and order is putting New Yorkers in jeopardy.
