Roll Call: In competitive seat and weighing a Senate run, Rep. Conor Lamb’s voting the party line more often

June 28, 2021

Conor Lamb is gearing up to abandon his constituents for a statewide run – and his voting record proves it.

Roll Call reports that Lamb has become increasingly partisan since he was first elected, a sign he “is positioning for a statewide run, when he would have to appeal more to [Democrats’] liberal base.”

Lamb voted with party leadership 77 percent of the time in 2018 but now votes with Democrats 99 percent of the time, and he’s flip-flopped to align with progressives on numerous important issues.

NRCC Comment: “Conor Lamb is just another partisan politician who said one thing to get elected and changed his tune the moment he got to DC.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Samantha Bullock
