Tom O’Halleran’s weird grudge against medical devices
Tom O’Halleran has taken up a very real grudge against lifesaving medical devices this Congress.
Earlier this year, The Arizona Republic reported on O’Halleran’s vote to ban an ingredient that is critical to making medical devices, like heart stents.
Now, O’Halleran is voting to raise taxes on natural gas, which would drive up the cost of goods like medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
O’Halleran even voted against an amendment that would have exempted critical lifesaving products like medical devices, prescription drugs and personal protection equipment from a natural gas tax.
