WATCH: Rudy Salas cut up his own campaign signs, could face FEC violation
In case you missed it, the embarrassment that is Rudy Salas’ campaign signs will not end.
This weekend, KSEE’s Alexan Balekian reported on the possible FEC violation saying, “campaign finance rules do bar candidates running for federal office from using funds or assets transferred from a committee established by the candidate from a non-federal election campaign.”
The signs – which are reused from Salas’ assembly campaign – use tape to cover up the word “Assembly” and replace it with the word “Congress.” The signs are also clumsily cut across the top to remove the line, “Law Enforcement, Teachers, and Firefighters support.”
Salas also refused to appear on Balekian’s Sunday morning show – cancelling “last second” – to discuss the violation. How embarrassing!
